Heterogeneous-lamella-structured Fe-Cu composites were fabricated using powder metallurgy, displaying an inverse β€œbanana” curve between the strength and ductility. The density of domain interfaces and the strength difference between hard and soft domains can be tuned independently, providing a promising way to further study the hetero-deformation induced strengthening mechanisms of heterogeneous-lamella-structures.
