TL;DR: The results indicated that sucrose is the transport sugar from the peduncle to seed, and that raffinose saccharide accumulation in the seed is the result of in situ biosynthesis and not from direct vascular transport of these oligosaccharides into the seeds. (via Semantic Scholar)
