GASIFICATION OF A NEW-MEXICO SUBBITUMINOUS COAL}, volume={23}, ISSN={["0196-4305"]}, DOI={10.1021/i200025a018}, abstractNote={A New Mexico sub-bituminous coal was gasified with steam and oxygen in a 15.2 cm fluidised bed reactor at a pressure of 790 kPa and average bed temperatures between 875 and 990 C. Material balances were obtained for total mass and major elements (C,H,O,N,S). A simple representation of coal pyrolysis has been added to a previously developed model of gasification and combustion; the resulting model provides good correlations of measured carbon conversion, gas production rates and gas compositions. Approximations that can be used to estimate S conversion and the split between H/sub 2/S and COS in the product gas have also been developed.}, number={2}, journal={INDUSTRIAL & ENGINEERING CHEMISTRY PROCESS DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT}, author={PURDY, MJ and FELDER, RM and FERRELL, JK}, year={1984}, pages={287–294} }
