TL;DR: It is demonstrated that combined improved subcarrier allocation and the linear decorrelating detector (LDD) are very efficient in mitigating multiple-access interference (MAI), resulting in much larger system capacity than for a non-adaptive MC direct-sequence (DS)-CDMA system.
