TL;DR: Four mesophilic, irregular, rod‐shaped methanogenic bacteria were isolated from decomposing refuse recovered from laboratory‐scale reactors and a municipal solid waste landfill using H2/CO2 as the only substrate on which they could grow in a complex medium. (via Semantic Scholar)
