Factors influencing tissue culture responses of mature seeds and immature embryos in turf-type tall fescue

PLANT BREEDING, 120(3), 239–242.

By: Y. Bai n & R. Qu n

author keywords: Festuca arundinacea; 6-benzylaminopurine; casein hydrolysate; L-proline; myo-inositol; thidiazuron
TL;DR: By simply slicing the mature seeds into two halves longitudinally, the callus induction frequencies, as well as the corresponding overall plant regeneration frequencies, were increased approximately three- to six-fold in all three combinations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and BAP incallus induction media. GRASS AND FORAGE SCIENCE, 55(4), 326–330.

By: Y. Bai n & R. Qu n

TL;DR: Twentyfive turf-type tall fescue cultivars, including many elite ones released recently, were evaluated for their callus induction and plant regeneration responses and significant differences were observed. (via Semantic Scholar)
