author keywords: quail; stem cell factor; SCF; his-tagged; recombinant protein
MeSH headings : Animals; Biological Assay; Blotting, Western; Cell Survival / drug effects; Cells, Cultured; Chick Embryo; Chromatography, Affinity; Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor / pharmacology; Dose-Response Relationship, Drug; Electrophoresis, Polyacrylamide Gel; Escherichia coli / genetics; Escherichia coli / metabolism; Ganglia, Spinal / cytology; Ganglia, Spinal / drug effects; Neurons / cytology; Neurons / drug effects; Quail / genetics; Recombinant Fusion Proteins / biosynthesis; Recombinant Fusion Proteins / genetics; Recombinant Fusion Proteins / isolation & purification; Recombinant Fusion Proteins / pharmacology; Stem Cell Factor / biosynthesis; Stem Cell Factor / genetics; Stem Cell Factor / isolation & purification; Stem Cell Factor / pharmacology
TL;DR: The availability of quail SCF will be a valuable tool to further resolve the function of stem cell factor in birds as it improved neuronal survival and survival and resembled the soluble form of SCF. (via Semantic Scholar)
