author keywords: canine; EGFR; nasal tumour; radiosensitivity; VEGF
MeSH headings : Animals; Dog Diseases / metabolism; Dog Diseases / pathology; Dog Diseases / radiotherapy; Dogs; ErbB Receptors / metabolism; Gene Expression Regulation, Neoplastic; Immunohistochemistry / veterinary; Neoplasms, Glandular and Epithelial / metabolism; Neoplasms, Glandular and Epithelial / pathology; Neoplasms, Glandular and Epithelial / radiotherapy; Neoplasms, Glandular and Epithelial / veterinary; Nose Neoplasms / radiotherapy; Nose Neoplasms / veterinary; Treatment Outcome; Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A / metabolism
TL;DR: Findings indicate that EGFR and VEGF proteins were present in some malignant epithelial nasal tumours in the dogs, and therefore, it may be beneficial to treat canine patients with tumours that overexpress EG FR and V EGF with specific inhibitors in conjunction with radiation.
