Cyber-physical systems with applications in design of robotic systems, with emphasis on aerospace systems, primarily unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Fundamental research focuses on optimizing system-wide energy, trajectory, and real-time task schedule through co-regulation of cyber and physical resources and optimal control. Projects leverage feedback control, time-delay systems, optimal control, real-time systems, hybrid systems, and artificial intelligence. Applications include small solar-powered UAS, spacecraft, and ground robotic systems.
