TL;DR: Students pursuing post-graduation education have intrinsic motivators that aligned with competence and were extrinsically motivated by a mentor, while students interested in post- graduation employment had intrinsic motivator that were more focused on autonomy with extrinsic motivational influences of debt/finances and geographic location.
