TL;DR: There was evidence that AgMate performed similarly to MateSel in managing coancestry and expected genetic gain, but MateSel was superior in avoiding inbreeding in proposed mate pairs, and AgMate is effective in meeting the breeding objectives for monoecious diploid species.
