This study performed deep RNA sequencing of 200 Drosophila Genetic Reference Panel inbred lines with complete genome sequences and mapped expression quantitative trait loci for annotated genes, novel transcribed regions, transposable elements and microbial species, providing new insights regarding the role of natural genetic variation in regulating gene expression.

Inhibition of the activity of this pathway using blocking antibodies directed against LYPD3 or AGR2 inhibits the growth of endocrine therapy-resistant tumors in mice, providing the rationale for near-term clinical development of humanized antibody directed against these proteins.
