Dr. Mohamed Ramadan Abd Allah Mohamed is an accomplished professional specializing in Organic chemistry [ Dye and Polymer Chemistry], currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry with honors in 2009 and an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry in 2015, both from the Faculty of Science at South Valley University. Completing his Ph.D. with a co-major in Fiber and Polymer Science and Chemistry at NC State University, USA, Dr. Mohamed successfully concluded his doctoral journey at Wilson College of Textiles on January 5th, 2024. Presently, he contributes his expertise as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Color Science Lab and Sustainable Dyeing and Finishing Lab within the Textiles Engineering, Science, and Technology department at Wilson College of Textiles. Dr. Mohamed's research spans molecular engineering, molecular modeling (DFT/TD-DFT), synthesis, photophysics, electrochemistry, and the photovoltaic properties of dyes for dye-sensitized solar cells, significantly impacting the field of electricity generation from solar energy. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Mohamed excels in various cotton dyeing and finishing techniques, including singeing, desizing, scouring, bleaching, mercerization, dyeing, printing, and mechanical finishing. His proficiency extends to the chemical cationization of cotton fabric and the strategic application of monomer treatment with atmospheric plasma or thermal initiators, introducing a grafted polymerized network to fabrics and imparting long-lasting antimicrobial properties. Furthermore, Dr. Mohamed has honed his skills in implementing self-extinguishing flame-retardant finishes for NY-CO fabrics, utilizing traditional (exhaustion) methods, Cold-Pad-Batch, Pad-Steam-Dry techniques, and the foam-dying process. His expertise also encompasses the precise measurement of color yield and colorfastness in dyed fabrics. Dr. Mohamed Ramadan Abd Allah Mohamed's unwavering commitment to advancing organic chemistry and textile engineering through innovative research and practical expertise positions him as a valuable contributor to the academic and scientific community.
