Directional Polarized Light Emission from Thin‐Film Light‐Emitting Diodes

Advanced Materials, 33(9), 2006801.

By: X. Fu n, Y. Mehta n, Y. Chen*, L. Lei n, L. Zhu n, N. Barange n, Q. Dong n, S. Yin n ...

author keywords: beam shaping; organic light-emitting diodes; perovskite light-emitting diodes; polarized light; waveguides
TL;DR: By selectively diffracting the transverse electric (TE) waveguide mode while suppressing other optical modes in a nanostructured LED, the authors demonstrate highly directional light emission from a full-area organic LED with a small divergence angle less than 3° and a TE to transverse magnetic (TM) polarization extinction ratio of 13.6%. Recovering cavity effects in corrugated organic light emitting diodes

OPTICS EXPRESS, 28(21), 32214–32225.

By: X. Fu*, Y. Chen*, D. Shin*, Y. Mehta*, I. Chen*, N. Barange*, L. Zhu*, S. Amoah*, C. Chang*, F. So*

TL;DR: It is found that the cavity effects can be partially recovered using a low index Teflon layer inserted between the ITO anode and the substrate due to the enhancement of the reflectance of the corrugated electrodes. (via Semantic Scholar)

Long-Wavelength Lead Sulfide Quantum Dots Sensing up to 2600 nm for Short-Wavelength Infrared Photodetectors

ACS APPLIED MATERIALS & INTERFACES, 11(47), 44451–44457.

By: C. Dong n, S. Liu n, N. Barange n, J. Lee n, T. Pardue n, X. Yi n, S. Yin n, F. So n

author keywords: lead sulfide quantum dots; multiple injections; sensing up to 2600 nm; monodispersity; infrared photodetectors
TL;DR: This work reports a successful synthesis of very large mono-dispersed PbS NPs having a diameter up to 16 nm by multiple injections and to demonstrate the applications of such large QDs, broadband heterojunction photodetectors are fabricated with the large P bS QDs of an absorption peak at 2100 nm.
