Immunogenetics, 62(2), 117–122.

By: J. Yoder n, P. Turner n, P. Wright n, V. Wittamer*, J. Bertrand*, D. Traver*, G. Litman*

author keywords: Innate immunity; Lymphocytes; Natural killer receptors
MeSH headings : Animals; Embryo, Nonmammalian / metabolism; Female; Gene Expression Regulation, Developmental; Organ Specificity; Ovary / metabolism; Receptors, Immunologic / genetics; Receptors, Immunologic / immunology; Zebrafish / embryology; Zebrafish / genetics; Zebrafish / immunology; Zebrafish / metabolism; Zebrafish Proteins / genetics; Zebrafish Proteins / immunology
TL;DR: The expression of multiple NITR genes in the zebrafish ovary and during embryogenesis is demonstrated and all 14 families of NITRs are shown to be expressed in the lymphocyte lineage, but not in the myeloid lineage, consistent with the hypothesis that N ITRs function as NKRs.
