MeSH headings : Adjuvants, Immunologic / genetics; Administration, Oral; Animals; B-Lymphocytes / immunology; Bacterial Vaccines / administration & dosage; Bacterial Vaccines / genetics; Bacterial Vaccines / immunology; Blood / immunology; Colon / immunology; Cytokines / metabolism; Dendritic Cells / immunology; Dendritic Cells / microbiology; Drug Carriers / administration & dosage; Female; Flagellin / genetics; Genetic Vectors; Humans; Intestinal Mucosa / immunology; Lactobacillus / genetics; Lactobacillus / immunology; Mice; Mice, Inbred BALB C; Plasmids; Toll-Like Receptor 5 / immunology
TL;DR:
In vivo studies established that treatment with L. gasseri led to a diversification of B-cell populations in the lamina propria of the murine colon and a significant decrease in the percentage of FoxP3+ colonic lymphocytes, and in vivo data clarify the interaction of L. Gasseri with the host immune system and support further investigation of the in vivo immunogenicity of the vector.
