Taslim Ur Rashid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his BSc and MS from the same department. He obtained his PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science program in the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science at North Carolina State University, USA. His broad research interest focuses on separation technology, designing polymer nanocomposites with improved properties for industrial waste management, nanofiber fabrication by electrospinning, polymer rheology, ionic liquids for industrial waste management, and biopolymer based electrolytes for dye sensitized solar cell.

TL;DR: To improve the physico-mechanical properties of Ca-alginate fiber (CaAF), poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) was grafted by applying γ-radiation of different intensities and results showed that 50% PEG and 2.5 kGy irradiation dose yielded the highest tensile strength. (via Semantic Scholar)
