North American Journal of Fisheries Management, 2, 249–256.

By: R. Farman*, L. Nielsen* & M. Norman*

TL;DR: The fishing-success or depletion method of calculating abundance was applied to largemouth bass data from a 1980 creel survey and bass tournaments on Back Bay, Virginia, and provided an estimate of about 72,000 largemouthbass longer than 305 mm, about 45% lower than the mark-recapture estimate and 70% higher than cove-rotenone estimates. By: G. Garman & L. Nielsen*
