TL;DR: A metamaterial consisting of a two-dimensional, asymmetric lattice of crossed nanochannels in fused silica, with channel diameters of 80 nm to 140 nm, shows that the asymmetry in channel dimensions gives rise to a preferred direction for DNA orientation and a preferreddirection for transport under dc electrophoresis. Impact of animation on assessment of conceptual understanding in physics

TL;DR: It is found that animation can improve assessment under some conditions by increasing the validity of the instrument and in general students had a better understanding of the intent of the question when viewing an animation and gave an answer that was more indicative of their actual understanding.
