TL;DR: The results suggest that there are two pathways for PyrKinc modification at the post-translational level: one involves partial C-terminal truncation to generate a 51 kDa pyruvate kinase subunit which might have altered regulatory properties and the other involves phosphorylation and ubiquitin conjugation that targets the protein to the 26S proteasome for complete degradation. Growth responses of Arabidopsis DNA repair mutants to solar irradiation

PHYSIOLOGIA PLANTARUM, 118(2), 183–192.

TL;DR: It was found that solar UV had an inhibitory effect on the growth of wild-type plants, and that this effect is enhanced in repair-defective lines, suggesting that DNA repair as a UV resistance mechanism in Arabidopsis is important for optimal growth. (via Semantic Scholar)
