By: F. Castellano*, Z. He* & F. Greenaway*

Contributors: F. Castellano*, Z. He* & F. Greenaway*

author keywords: SPIN TRAP; DIAMINE OXIDASE; PLASMA AMINE OXIDASE; HYDROXYL RADICAL; EPR
MeSH headings : Amine Oxidase (Copper-Containing); Animals; Benzylamines / metabolism; Cadaverine / metabolism; Catalase; Cattle; Copper / chemistry; Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy; Hydrogen Peroxide; Hydroxides / analysis; Hydroxyl Radical; Oxidoreductases Acting on CH-NH Group Donors / chemistry; Oxidoreductases Acting on CH-NH Group Donors / metabolism; Swine
TL;DR: Results indicate that hydroxyl radical is produced in the reaction of the product H2O2 with the reduced enzymes and therefore may be important in turnover-related enzyme degradation, but is not a true reaction intermediate. (via Semantic Scholar)
