A heterogeneous kinetic model for the cutinase-catalyzed hydrolysis of cyclo-tris-ethylene terephthalate

Figueroa, Y., Hinks, D., & Montero, G. (2006, August). BIOTECHNOLOGY PROGRESS, Vol. 22, pp. 1209–1214.

By: Y. Figueroa n, D. Hinks n & G. Montero n

TL;DR: The kinetics of enzyme‐catalyzed hydrolysis of the polyester oligomer cyclo‐tris‐ethylene terephthalate, commonly known as cyclic trimer, using a developmental cutinase is reported, with a first order rate constant obtained when the substrate surface area was increased considerably and the crystallinity was relatively high. Transport properties of solid polymer electrolytes prepared from oligomeric fluorosulfonimide lithium salts dissolved in high molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide)

JOURNAL OF PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY B, 110(46), 23130–23135.

By: O. Geiculescu n, R. Rajagopal n, S. Creager n, D. DesMarteau n, X. Zhang n & P. Fedkiw n

TL;DR: A general trend of diminished salt diffusion coefficient with increasing anion size was observed and is opposite to the trend observed in ionic conductivity, so the cumulative effects of charge carrier concentration, anion mobility, ion pairing, host plasticization by the anions, and salt phase segregation on the conductivity are rationalized.
