Computing blocking probabilities in multiclass wavelength routing networks

ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation, 10(2), 87–103.

By: S. Ramesh n, G. Rouskas n & H. Perros n

TL;DR: An approximate analytical method is presented to evaluate efficiently and accurately the call blocking probabilities in wavelength routing networks with multiple classes of calls and it is shown that path decomposition algorithms for single-class wavelengths routing networks may be readily extended to the multiclass case. Decomposition methods for reentrant flow shops with sequence-dependent setup times

Journal of Scheduling, 3(3), 155–177.

By: E. Demirkol* & R. Uzsoy*

TL;DR: This work considers the problem of scheduling a reentrant flow shop with sequence-dependent setup times to minimize maximum lateness and proposes an enhanced DM which gives promising results for these difficult scheduling problems. (via Semantic Scholar)

Performance of decomposition procedures for job shop scheduling problems with bottleneck machines

International Journal of Production Research, 38(6), 1271–1286.

By: R. Uzsoy* & C. Wang

TL;DR: This paper examines the performance of several variants of SB, some of which can be interpreted as naive implementations of the TOC approach to scheduling and shows that both the solution time and quality of SB methods improve markedly when bottleneck workcentres are present.
