Reservoir striped bass movements and site fidelity in relation to seasonal patterns in habitat quality

NORTH AMERICAN JOURNAL OF FISHERIES MANAGEMENT, 21(1), 34–45.

TL;DR: Adult striped bass Morone saxatilis perform best when water temperatures are below 26°C and dissolved oxygen levels are above 2 mg/L and will begin to exhibit stress responses at higher temperatures or lower oxygen levels and therefore influence population dynamics and distribution in southern U.S. reservoirs. By: R. Lipcius*, W. Stockhausen & D. Eggleston*

author keywords: marine protected areas; Panulirus argus; metapopulation dynamics; source-sink dynamics; larval transport; larval supply; marine conservation biology; no-take reserves
