Evaluation of corn foliar fungicides against gray leaf spot in North Carolina, 2024
Plant Health Progress.
Gray leaf spot, caused by the fungal pathogen, Cercospora zeae-maydis, is among the most prominent, economically-limiting foliar disease in corn throughout most corn producing regions in the United States. Symptoms include small, round, tan spots that elongate within the leaf veins and may be surrounded by a yellow halo. This report evaluates the efficacy of fungicide programs on gray leaf spot suppression. The trial was conducted in 2024 in a research field in Salisbury, NC. Results from these trials will help advise tobacco growers in developing integrated pest management programs.
