TL;DR: Examination of Neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) and laminin expression in the proliferation-competent mdx mouse and non-regenerative "golden retriever muscular dystrophy dog" showed that expression was greater in dystrophic dogs and mice than in age-matched normal animals.
