Journal of Animal Science, 66(9), 2209.

By: G. Traywick n & K. Esbenshade n

MeSH headings : Animals; Female; Follicle Stimulating Hormone / blood; Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone / administration & dosage; Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone / analogs & derivatives; Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone / immunology; Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone / pharmacology; Luteinizing Hormone / blood; Ovarian Follicle / drug effects; Swine / physiology
TL;DR: Paired ovarian weights for treated gilts pulsed with GnRH agonist for 72 h were heavier, however, ovaries from all immunized gilts were atrophied without follicular structures, indicating maintenance of secretory capacity of pituitary gonadotropes in the immunized animals.
