TL;DR: To fulfill Koch's postulates, persimmon fruit obtained from the grocery store were surface disinfested with 0.5% sodium hypochlorite and sterile filter paper disks dipped in conidial suspensions of two C. acutatum isolates or sterile, deionized water and fruit remained firm and did not develop symptoms.
