TL;DR:
The development of two zone-plate microscopes for X-ray spectroscopic analysis of materials is described, which will provide imaging NEXAFS analysis of samples in transmission at atmospheric pressure and imaging XPS and NexAFSAnalysis of sample surfaces in a UHV environment.
