PLANT CELL REPORTS, 30(8), 1427–1434.

By: R. Alkhatib n, R. Creamer*, R. Lartey* & S. Ghoshroy*

author keywords: Callose; Inoculation; Plasmodesmata; RNA viruses; Systemic movement
MeSH headings : Capsid Proteins / isolation & purification; Glucans / analysis; Lead / pharmacology; Microscopy, Electron, Transmission; Nitrates / pharmacology; Plant Leaves / ultrastructure; Plant Leaves / virology; Plant Viruses / drug effects; Plant Viruses / physiology; RNA Viruses / drug effects; RNA Viruses / physiology; Tobacco / virology
TL;DR: Effect of various lead (Pb) concentrations on the systemic movement of RNA viruses was examined in tobacco plants, suggesting that non-toxic concentrations of lead nitrate may trigger the production of putative cellular factors in addition to callose that interfere with the TVCV systemic movement (via Semantic Scholar)
