TL;DR: Testing the influence of the leucine metabolite, beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (HMB), and feed deprivation on muscle development in the early posthatch poult found IF-HMB poults had higher body weights and had higher satellite cell mitotic activity at 48 h of age compared with the IF-No HMB and WF poult.
