Evaluation of stomach tubes and gastric lavage for sampling diets from blue catfish and flathead catfish

By: D. Waters n, T. Kwak n, J. Arnott n & W. Pine n

TL;DR: Based on the greater effectiveness of PGL for blue catfish, combined with a shorter mean time required per sample and the better preservation of extracted diet material, this work recommends using PGL as a nonlethal technique to collect diet samples from large catfishes.
