Two uncertainty quantification techniques (first-order propagation and forward Monte-Carlo) are used in this work. The effects of resolution are explored by comparing results found with NaI and HPGe detectors. These results are confounded with the effects of total counts and binning. A conclusion is established that in some, very-specific cases, there is no reduction in uncertainty from using better-resolution detectors. The limitations of this conclusion and of the uncertainty quantification techniques used are discussed at length.}, journal={RADIATION PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY}, author={Feinberg, Aaron and Gardner, Robin P.}, year={2019}, month={Feb}, pages={191–196} }
