Sodium hydroxide pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis of coastal Bermuda grass

BIORESOURCE TECHNOLOGY, 101(10), 3583–3585.

By: Z. Wang n, D. Keshwani*, A. Redding n & J. Cheng n

author keywords: Coastal Bermuda grass; NaOH pretreatment; Glucose; Xylose; Reducing sugar
MeSH headings : Biomass; Enzymes / metabolism; Glucose / metabolism; Hydrolysis; Poaceae / metabolism; Sodium Hydroxide / chemistry; Xylose / metabolism
TL;DR: Coastal Bermuda grass was pretreated with NaOH at concentrations from 0.5% to 3% (w/v) for a residence time from 15 to 90min at 121 degrees C and production of total reducing sugars, glucose and xylose from enzymatic hydrolysis of the pretreated biomass. (via Semantic Scholar)
