TL;DR: It is demonstrated organic molecules with a large singlet-triplet splitting can achieve efficient EL at voltages below the bandgap voltage, and a blue fluorescent organic light-emitting diode having a power efficiency higher than some of the best thermally activated delayed fluorescent and phosphorescent blue organic Lightemitting diodes is demonstrated. TL;DR: A modeling methodology is developed to quantitatively determine the length of the emission zone in organic light emitting diodes and correlate that with the degradation mechanism, which shows that the emission zones of dopant 1 devices is narrower than the 4CzIPN device, leading to faster degradation.
