adolescence, sexual health, sexuality, consent, sexual communication, digital health, intervention development, evaluation

As a postdoctoral fellow in Applied Health Science at Indiana University, my research broadly concerns adolescent sexual health promotion. This was my area of focus throughout my doctoral program, and I am fortunate to now hold a position that allows me to further this line of work. Specifically, I am passionate about understanding affirmative consent cognitions and behaviors among youth through quantitative and qualitative research methods, and improving consent education for adolescents on a large scale. I am also interested in using participatory research methods with community members, as well as theory and empirical evidence to guide development, implementation, and evaluation of digital sexual health interventions. In the long-term, I am committed to a professional career at the intersection of adolescent sexual health education and innovative digital health intervention. My goal is to contribute to education and prevention programs aimed at improving adolescents’ education, health, and quality of life.
