Optical Control of Magnetic Feshbach Resonances by Closed-Channel Electromagnetically Induced Transparency

PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS, 116(7).

By: A. Jagannathan n, N. Arunkumar n, J. Joseph n & J. Thomas n

TL;DR: A new model of light-induced loss spectra is presented, employing continuum-dressed basis states, which agrees in shape and magnitude with loss measurements for both broad and narrow resonances, and predicts the trade-off between tunability and loss for the broad resonance in ^{6}Li. Shear Viscosity of a Unitary Fermi Gas Near the Superfluid Phase Transition

PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS, 115(2).

By: J. Joseph n, E. Elliott n & J. Thomas n

TL;DR: The shear viscosity for a resonantly interacting Fermi gas is measured as a function of temperature from nearly the ground state through the superfluid phase transition into the high temperature regime and it is found that α(S) reveals features that were previously hidden in ⟨α (S)⟩. Anomalous Minimum in the Shear Viscosity of a Fermi Gas

PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS, 113(2).

By: E. Elliott n, J. Joseph n & J. Thomas n

TL;DR: The static shear viscosity η in a two-component Fermi gas near a broad collisional (Feshbach) resonance is measured, and it is found that η has both a quadratic and a linear dependence on the interaction strength 1/(k(FI)a), where a is the s-wave scattering length and k( FI) is the Fermani wave vector for an ideal gas at the trap center. Observation of Conformal Symmetry Breaking and Scale Invariance in Expanding Fermi Gases

PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS, 112(4).

By: E. Elliott n, J. Joseph n & J. Thomas n

TL;DR: Scale invariance is tested and local thermal equilibrium in the hydrodynamic expansion of a Fermi gas of atoms as a function of interaction strength is examined and conformal symmetry breaking is observed, where deviates from ballistic flow. (via Semantic Scholar)
