The Plant Journal, 80(4), 642–653.

By: M. Desai n, P. Rangarajan*, J. Donahue*, S. Williams*, E. Land n, M. Mandal*, B. Phillippy n, I. Perera n, V. Raboy*, G. Gillaspy*

author keywords: Arabidopsis thaliana; At3g01310; At5g15070; inositol pyrophosphate; inositol kinase; InsP(6)
MeSH headings : Arabidopsis / genetics; Arabidopsis / metabolism; Arabidopsis Proteins / genetics; Arabidopsis Proteins / metabolism; Chromatography, High Pressure Liquid; Genetic Complementation Test; Inositol Phosphates / metabolism; Mutation; Phosphotransferases (Alcohol Group Acceptor) / genetics; Phosphotransferases (Alcohol Group Acceptor) / metabolism; Phosphotransferases (Phosphate Group Acceptor) / genetics; Phosphotransferases (Phosphate Group Acceptor) / metabolism; Phylogeny; Plant Proteins / genetics; Plant Proteins / metabolism; Seeds / metabolism; Transcription Factors, General / genetics; Transcription Factors, General / metabolism; Yeasts / genetics; Zea mays / genetics; Zea mays / metabolism
TL;DR: It is reported that Arabidopsis and maize InsP6 transporter mutants have elevated levels of inositol pyrophosphates in their seed, providing unequivocal identification of their presence in plant tissues and it is shown that plant seeds store a little over 1% of their inositl phosphate pool as InsP7 and InsP8. A ROLE FOR LIPID-MEDIATED SIGNALING IN PLANT GRAVITROPISM

AMERICAN JOURNAL OF BOTANY, 100(1), 153–160.

By: C. Smith n, M. Desai n, E. Land n & I. Perera n

author keywords: auxin; calcium; gravitropism; InsP(3); lipid signaling
MeSH headings : Gravitropism / physiology; Indoleacetic Acids / metabolism; Lipid Metabolism; Phosphatidylinositols / metabolism; Plants / metabolism; Signal Transduction
TL;DR: This thesis is that membrane lipids and lipid-mediated signaling pathways play critical roles in the initial signaling and in the establishment of polarity in Gravitropism. (via Semantic Scholar)
