TL;DR: Dorsal, a transcription factor that patterns the Drosophila dorsal-ventral axis, accumulates at the embryo ventral midline, and model-guided experiments show that the inhibitor Cactus shuttles Dorsal to the ventral side. (via Semantic Scholar)
