Traci Ann May Lamar

Traci A. M. Lamar is a Professor and Textile Design Program Director in the Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management where she first joined the faculty of NC State University’s College of Textiles in June 2000. Her research focus is textile product design and development including application of design technology, knowledge building in design technologies, and virtual design and development. She has directed many student design competitions and exhibitions both through competitive grants and working directly with companies. Dr. Lamar holds degrees from North Carolina State University, Arizona State University, and Kansas State University. She is a 2017 recipient of The Certificate of Reflective Teaching at NC State University and a 2017 ITAA Rutherford Teaching Challenge Award.
