Dr. Melvin (Jai) Jackson is the Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Faculty Engagement in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost of North Carolina State University. Dr. Jackson is a passionate scholar-leader focusing on educational equity and opportunity for all. Dr. Jackson earned his educational leadership and research doctorate from Louisiana State University. Dr. Jackson has led in many roles within higher education, each focusing on improving the success of students and communities. Dr. Jackson additionally holds faculty appointments with NC State University, Wilmington University, and Delaware State University.
