By: S. Smith n, K. Jennings n, D. Monks n, S. Chaudhari n, J. Schultheis n & C. Reberg-Horton n

author keywords: Critical period of weed control; competition; control; interference
TL;DR: The results show that Palmer amaranth is highly competitive with sweetpotato and should be managed as early as possible in the season, and the requirement of an early critical timing of weed removal to prevent yield loss emphasizes the importance of early-season scouting.
