PRODUCTION DYNAMICS OF SMALLMOUTH BASS IN A SMALL MINNESOTA STREAM

TRANSACTIONS OF THE AMERICAN FISHERIES SOCIETY, 122(4), 588–598.

By: T. Waters*, J. Kaehler*, T. Polomis* & T. Kwak*

TL;DR: Annual production by smallmouth bass was much lower than trout production in similarly fertile streams in southern Minnesota and Wisconsin, and more-restrictive creel regulations may be needed for smallmouthbass than for trout, even in streams of similar basic productivity. By: C. Brownie*, J. Hines, J. Nichols*, K. Pollock* & J. Hestbeck

author keywords: ATLANTIC FLYWAY; CANADA GEESE; CONDITIONAL LIKELIHOOD; MULTISTATE MODELS; REDUCED-PARAMETER MODELS; SITE FIDELITY
TL;DR: This work considers capture-recapture studies where release and recapture data are available from each of a number of strata on every capture occasion, and introduces models that relax the Markovian assumption and allow "memory" to operate. (via Semantic Scholar)
