BMC Genomics, 20(1).

By: F. Adedipe n, N. Grubbs n, B. Coates*, B. Wiegmman n & M. Lorenzen n

author keywords: ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter; Phylogenetic; Transcriptome; RNA interference (RNAi); Corn rootworm
MeSH headings : ATP-Binding Cassette Transporters / genetics; Animals; Coleoptera / classification; Coleoptera / genetics; Coleoptera / growth & development; Computational Biology / methods; Gene Expression Profiling; Gene Ontology; Life Cycle Stages / genetics; Molecular Sequence Annotation; Multigene Family; Phenotype; RNA Interference; Transcriptome
TL;DR: This study has produced a relatively comprehensive de novo transcriptome assembly for D. v. virgifera and identified 65 members of the ABC transporter family and provided the first insights into the developmental and physiological roles of ABC transporters in this pest species.
