1998 chapter

St. Augustinegrass root growth response following plant growth retardant application

In Root Demographics and Their Efficiencies in Sustainable Agriculture, Grasslands and Forest Ecosystems (pp. 637–650).

By: J. Weinbrecht*, L. McCarty*, M. Kane*, G. Miller* & G. Best*

TL;DR: This two-year study was designed to evaluate St. Augustinegrass root length density (RLD) following PGR application and found that with the exception of imazapic, all PGRs provided RLD values equal to the untreated turfgrass at each of the three biweekly tracing periods during both years. ENVIRONMENTAL ENTOMOLOGY, 27(2), 388–394.

By: R. Hummel n, R. Brandenburg n, A. Heagle n & C. Arellano n

author keywords: Tetranychus urticae; ozone; air pollution; white clover; peanut
TL;DR: Elevated O3 levels appear to decrease the time required for female mites to develop from egg to ovipositing adult, which may have a profound effect on the intrinsic rate of population increase. (via Semantic Scholar)
