TL;DR: Despite induction of Fiv-specific immune responses and nonspecific suppressor responses, all cats became infected following vaginal challenge with high dose, pathogenic cell-associated FIV-NCSU, although relative early maintenance of CD4+ cells was seen in F IV-immunized cats.
