TL;DR: Fish species richness was related to the thermal regime, indicating that species interactions may be an important driver of freshwater mussel responses to global change, and models estimating the relation between the water column and substrate temperatures more realistically characterize ambient temperature exposures more realistically characterize ambient temperature exposures.
