1980 journal article

Low temperature acclimation of root fatty acid composition, leaf water potential, gas exchange and growth of soybean seedlings.

Plant, Cell and Environment, 3(6), 435–441.

By: A. Markhart III, M. Peet*, N. Sionit* & P. Kramer*

TL;DR: It is suggested that changes in membrane fatty acid unsaturation is an important aspect of plant acclimation to chilling temperatures in terms of maintaining root permeability and water uptake and a role of photorespiration in the plant is suggested. (via Semantic Scholar)

1980 journal article

Effects of decreasing source/sink ratio in soybeans on photosynthesis, photorespiration, transpiration and yield.

Plant, Cell and Environment, 3(3), 201–206.

By: M. Peet* & P. Kramer*

TL;DR: Shading of all side leaflets of a determinate soybean cultivar during pod filling significantly increased rates of photosynthesis in the unshaded centre leaflets, compared to centre leaflets of controls, indicating that treatment effects were probably not associated with changes in photorespiration relative to photosynthesis. POLYGALACTURONASE ACTIVITY AND ETHYLENE SYNTHESIS DURING CUCUMBER FRUIT-DEVELOPMENT AND MATURATION

PLANT PHYSIOLOGY, 66(6), 1019–1023.

By: M. Saltveit n & R. Mcfeeters

TL;DR: The seed cavity tissue pH decreased as polygalacturonase activity increased both in ripening fruit and in harvested immature fruit exposed to 10 microliters per liter ethylene in air. (via Semantic Scholar)
