1994 conference paper

Real-time system for data acquisition and control of batch dyeing

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE/IAS Annual Textile, Fiber and Film Industry Technical Conference.

By: W. Jasper n & M. Reddy n

TL;DR: The system allows for the rapid prototyping of general real-time data acquisition and control systems, while supporting a rich set of development tools to enable networking, window-based applications programming, and object-oriented programming. (via Semantic Scholar)

1994 conference paper

A multivariable self-learning fuzzy control algorithm for dyeing processes

Proceedings of 1994 American Control Conference - ACC '94.

By: J. Lu n, W. Jasper n & G. Lee n

TL;DR: A multi-input, multi-output fuzzy logic control scheme is developed based upon a SISO technique previously developed for a self-learning FLC with on-line scaling factor tuning and employs optimization techniques to provide the FLC outputs and an application to dyeing processes is discussed. 1994 journal article

USING NEURAL NETWORKS AND NIR SPECTROPHOTOMETRY TO IDENTIFY FIBERS

TEXTILE RESEARCH JOURNAL, 64(8), 444–448.

By: W. Jasper n & E. Kovacs n

TL;DR: A qualitative nondestructive technique for fiber identification was developed using near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and was not only able to identify single fibers, but was also able to correctly identify blends of fibers from fabrics for which it had not been trained.
