Linear filters and nonlinear forecasting

Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series B: Biological Sciences, 256(1346), 157–161.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that simple moving average filters can falsely suggest that a white noise data set is chaotic by using a test commonly used by biologists, demonstrating the extreme care needed when analysing small data sets by using sophisticated mathematical techniques. Chaos and forecasting

Trends in Ecology & Evolution, 9(7), 244–245.

By: A. Lloyd*

TL;DR: Father’s intensity of red significantly correlated with daughter’S preference for red, indicating the presence of a genetic correlation between these traits, and was confirmed by an additional positive correlation across fathers between son's intensity ofred and daughter's preference forred.
